Save Parcel Dimensions and Product Descriptions to Save Time!
Did you know that you could save parcel dimensions and product descriptions in the World Options portal? The ability to save this information will save time when you are getting a quote or booking a shipment. The portal has offered this option to customers from V1. (Version 1) of the World Options portal and since been upgraded to include In Stock and Out of Stock, as well as Commercial product descriptions for international shipments. This will allow customers to easily complete commercial invoices for customs clearance as the information required is specific and time consuming.
What are the benefits of saving dimensional data for your standardised products?
We all know that when we are booking in shipments on the portal, one of the most annoying and time consuming things we need to do is to enter weight and dimensional data for each individual carton, satchel or pallet. When we have multiple shipments or shipments with multiple items this can become extremely time consuming and cumbersome. The first choice to eliminate this process is to always integrate your shopping cart, or your inhouse (custom website) or WMS (Warehouse Management System) if you use one. If none of these are an option, the portal also gives you the option to upload an excel spreadsheet that contains the data for multiple shipments or items. Withe CSV already containing the dimensional and weight data for each item in each shipment, the process again is simplified and become efficient as the unnecessary data entry is no longer required.
