Each time you book a shipment, you do so on these conditions. You agree that all shipments are subject to the terms and conditions of the carriers, as well as these terms and conditions. You agree to become familiar and comply with each carrier’s terms and conditions, which can be found on each courier’s websites and/or air waybills prior to tendering any shipments.

You hereby agree to indemnify us in respect of all liabilities, costs, expenses, damages and losses (including but not limited to any direct, indirect or consequential losses, loss of profit and all interest, penalties and legal costs (calculated on a full indemnity basis) and all reasonable professional costs and expenses) suffered or incurred by us in connection with your breach of such terms and conditions.

Payment

You agree to the above terms and conditions of use and the payment terms set out on the World Options Account Application form, as amended by agreement in writing from time to time.

The charges for each shipment relate directly to the weight and dimensions you enter. If the actual weight and dimensions of your shipment are greater than those entered additional charges will apply to your initial payment.

Your Obligations

When you book a shipment through World Options you shall ensure that the terms of the shipment and any information provided are complete and accurate and you shall cooperate with World Options and relevant courier in all matters relating to the shipment.

If you fail to comply with the above, World Options and/or the relevant courier shall, without limiting any other rights or remedies, have the right to suspend any and all shipments until you remedy the default, and we shall not be liable for any costs or losses sustained or incurred by you arising directly or indirectly from the failure or delay of the shipment. You shall reimburse us on written demand for any costs or losses sustained or incurred arising directly or indirectly from any such default.

Collection

The package label needs to be attached securely to the box ready for the driver to collect.

Please ensure you are available during the parcel ready time and the latest collection time you have detailed. At least 4:30pm or later needs to be selected as the close time in order to guarantee a collection.

A window time of at least three hours between parcel ready time and closing time needs to be given.

Morning collections are not guaranteed – collections are normally made in the afternoons.

Your address location will have its own cut off times to book a collection by. The cut off time for your area may vary between carriers; please check this with the carrier.

Delivery

Please note that, even where specified deliveries are guaranteed, some areas of the UK and other Worldwide destinations do not offer a guaranteed service. Please contact us if you need assistance.

For deliveries to countries outside the EU a commercial invoice is required for customs clearance. Parcels without a commercial invoice will be delayed or returned.

Customs procedures vary from country to country. Delays can occur as items go through normal customs clearance. Customs may also require additional paperwork from the receiver.

If there is no one available to receive the parcel, further attempts to deliver may be made. Following unsuccessful delivery attempts your item may be returned. Charges may apply.

Packaging

This can be a cause of frustration to both sender and receiver so attention to this area is important.

Please provide sufficient internal cushioning to support the goods inside the box from internal movement and use a strong enough box to provide external protection. You hereby warrant to us that such cushioning will be sufficient to protect your goods from normal movements that take place in carrier systems.

Parcels should not be strapped or attached together, this is not a secure way for parcels to travel in a parcel network. No claim can be made for any additional item that was strapped to the original in the event that they become separated in transit.

You hereby warrant that all items travelling through our services will be packaged in such a manner so as to be able to withstand a short drop Fragile items should not be sent through our services.

Customer Service

The World Options online system has full track and trace capability. This automated system enables you as the user to check the progress of your shipment. This is your responsibility. We do not see individual shipments as they go through the system.

Please contact our customer service team if you need any help with your shipment.

Customs Information & Charges

Things you buy over the internet will have the same rules, duties and screening processes applied as any other import.

You need to know that:

For goods with a value of AUD1000 or less, there are generally no duties, taxes or charges to pay at the border.

However, From 1 July 2018, the Goods and Services Tax (GST) may be collected by overseas vendors of such low value goods when imported from overseas by consumers in Australia. GST will be charged at the point of sale and not at the border.

For goods with a value over AUD1000, you will need to fill out an Import Declaration, and pay duties, taxes and charges at the border.

You will need to pay duties and taxes on some goods (like tobacco or alcohol) regardless of their value.

Certain types of goods are not allowed to be brought into Australia, or else need special permits.

The value of the goods and how they arrive in Australia will determine how we clear them for delivery to you and what duty, taxes and charges may apply.

Goods (excluding tobacco, tobacco products and alcoholic beverages) with a value of AUD1000 or less are referred to as low value imports. From 1 July 2018, the GST may apply to these goods when imported from overseas by consumers in Australia.

If these goods arrive in Australia by air or sea cargo, they must have a Self-Assessed Clearance (SAC) Declaration. There is no charge for this declaration. This will be taken care of by the cargo company or freight forwarder if their services are engaged.

Prohibited & Restricted Items

Please see carrier’s own terms and conditions for Prohibited and Restricted items.

Hazardous goods are not generally accepted. Please contact us for details.
